Embodied Imagination Therapists
Franco Enrico
B.Tech (Hons.Arch), M.A.(Jungian Studies)
Certified Advanced Embodiment Therapist
Franco’s introduction to Embodied Imagination was directly by its founder, Robert Bosnak and it has been his most privileged joy to have Robert’s regular engagement. As a retired ballet dancer and active yoga practitioner, Franco’s Embodied Imagination practise is deeply rooted in the body. His perspective echoing the sentiments of Janet Sonenberg; that the body is both the file of memory and the primary means with which we meet the image.
After his ballet career, Franco commenced with architectural studies and soon discovered that a well developed proprioception proved to be an invaluable foundation with which to engage the imaginal. During his studies Franco soon became interested in the psychological aspect of architecture. After obtaining his B.Tech (Hons) degree he found himself deeply encompassed in Jungian theory, and it was upon this new avenue of the psyche that he discovered the work of Bosnak.
Always fascinated by dreams and immediately appreciating the foundational embodied aspect of the work, Franco began his Embodied Imagination training in 2021. Still engrossed in Jungian theory, deepening his enquiry into the psychological affect of architecture, Franco enrolled in a M.A. degree in Jungian and Post Jungian studies through the University of Essex. Achieving his degree with distinction his work in architecture and yoga places Embodied Imagination at the forefront of his methodology. Franco believes that Embodied Imagination embraces the concept that space is archetypal in nature, and guided by the Mundus Imaginalis architecture may once again be guided by beauty thereby engendering a deep sense of wholeness in the global psyche.
In addition to Embodied Imagination Therapy Franco also runs an architectural practice, art studio and teaches yoga.

Heinz Fraenkel
B.Com (Hons), BappSocSci, ASCHP swc23/1930
Certified Advanced Embodiment Therapist
After several years of living in China, Heinz returned to Stellenbosch and began formal studies in psychology and counselling. Heinz quickly found himself disenchanted with the clinical, biomedical and cognitive-focused modalities taught in the classroom; There was a yearning for a more holistic, soulful approach. Heinz’s experiences as a longtime Hatha yoga practitioner opened his eyes to the role of the body in therapy. Pursuing the various Somatic or Body-centred psychotherapy modalities felt like a step in the right direction.

Months later, while at the South African College of Applied Psychology, Heinz met Franco and was introduced to Embodied Imagination. He was immediately intrigued and began training under Pelle Nordin and Narandja Eagleson. 18 months later, Heinz and Franco, became the first Embodied Imagination practitioners in South Africa (and Africa). Embodied imagination proved to be a perfect union between the somatic/corporeal realm and the imaginal/numinous realm.

Heinz lives and works in Stellenbosch, South Africa. He is involved in psycho-educational talks, embodiment workshops, counselling, and psychedelic integration. He meets with clients in his Stellenbosch practice and over zoom.
